Happy Monday!
On this week’s episode of inTheir20s, we spoke with the legendary Kat Cole.
Kat’s entrepreneurial story is often shared as an example of the American and entrepreneurial dream.
She starts as a Hooters girl. It’s her first job out of high school, a necessity to help support her family and pay for college. Overcoming the odds, she’s promoted into an executive role. She drops out of college because she’s traveling the world opening Hooters franchises and becomes a VP by the age of 26.
Next, she’s recruited by Focus Brands to become president of then-struggling Cinnabon. She transforms the business into a billion-dollar brand.
Today, Kat is President and COO of Athletic Greens, the fastest growing wellness brand in the world. Athletic Greens is the direct-to-consumer subscription company behind the world’s most comprehensive and convenient daily nutrition product, AG1.
We spoke about:
Times of uncertainty she dealt with in her 20s
